The Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee confirmed that there is no possibility to compensate all those affected by the Corona virus.
Committee member Yahya Al-Ithawi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Corona virus has become a rampant disease throughout Iraq and the world, and there are no special programs that recommend compensation for those affected by it," noting that "compensation is currently limited to workers in the health sector and the parties that support them."
He added, "Compensating all citizens affected by the Coronavirus is very difficult, and there is no possibility to compensate everyone," noting that "the legal text for compensation includes workers in the health sector and support agencies."
