Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar revealed today, Thursday, agreements and contracts with international companies to invest free gas in the provinces of Anbar and Diyala.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "this came during his virtual participation in the Berlin Climate Conference via the electronic platform."
The statement quoted the Minister of Oil as saying that "the government and the ministry's plans aim to gradually move to the use of clean fuels, including gas, solar energy, wind and others by increasing work space, production and investment in these important sectors."
The Minister of Oil referred to work to reduce the percentage of the use of hydrocarbon fuels and fuels, in order to preserve the local environment, stressing that the government's plans aim to reach the production of (10 kW) from solar energy production projects, in addition to stopping the burning of gas associated with oil operations thanks to recent contracts with companies Global sober for gas investment in the governorates of Basra, Maysan and Dhi Qar.
