The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Halabja tragedy is an occasion to unify efforts to face the challenges.
In a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Halbousi said, "On the 33rd anniversary of the Halabja tragedy, which will remain deep wounds in the conscience of humanity, we affirm our solidarity with the victims' families and stand by the oppression and sacrifices of its people, and it is an occasion to unite everyone's efforts to face challenges for the future."
