The meeting of the Air Force and Al-Zawraa is of great importance to the sporting public at the level of Iraq and the Arab countries because of its rivalry and fierce competition drawn from the history of confrontations full of numbers for achievements spanning more than four decades.
Today’s meeting, which is hosted by Al Shaab International Stadium in the twenty-third round of the Premier League, holds the number 79 during confrontations with the Gulls and Falcons in 45 football seasons, starting from the 1975-1976 season.
The Gulls won, throughout this career, twenty-nine games, compared to twenty-six wins for the Air Force, while the result of the tie between the two teams ended with twenty-four games.
In the total of the seventy-nine matches, the history of El Clásico scored 200 goals, of which Al-Zawraa scored a hundred and six goals, while the Falcons' share was ninety-four.
