Salih discusses the political developments with the Secretary General of the Iraqi Islamic Party

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, discussed today, Thursday, with the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party Rashid Al-Azzawi the political, security and economic developments in the country.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Salih received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party Rashid Al-Azzawi, and that during the meeting they discussed political, security and economic developments in the country."

He added, "The necessity of cooperation in order to enhance security and stability, to prepare the requirements for holding the upcoming elections and to ensure their fairness, to be an expression of the free will of the voters," he added.
