The Independent High Electoral Commission revealed the number of requests to register political parties to participate in the elections
Commission spokesperson Jumana Al-Ghalai told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The total number of requests for political party registration reached (427) applications, as foundation licenses were granted to (231) political parties, while the number of requests for registration for parties (under establishment) reached (80) requests.
