Commander-in-Chief Spokesman of the Armed Forces Major General Abdul Karim Khalaf, denied granting approvals for the resumption of US military operations in Iraq.
Earlier, two US military officials confirmed that the US military resumed its joint operations with Iraq 10 days after suspension.
The New York Times quoted officials who did not mention their names, that the army was keen to resume operations against Daesh terrorist groups as soon as possible, with the aim of missing the opportunity for terrorist gangs to regain their momentum and hinder any propaganda victory they might claim.
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed earlier the absence of any agreement to establish US bases in Iraq, while stressing the illegitimacy of US forces presence the country and with such a number.
“Approximately 250,000 fighters and their tanks of US forces were on our lands, and the Iraqi government was able to drive them out under a strategic agreement with the United States," said Committee member Ali Al-Ghanmi in a statement to Iraqi News Agency INA.
