Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi started the monthly meeting of the leaders of security, military and intelligence, which is dedicated to assessing the security situation throughout the country.

A statement from his office received that the prime minister at the beginning of the meeting told security and military leaders the first anniversary of the great victory over the terrorist gangs, which was achieved thanks to the sacrifices made by the Iraqis.

He added that during the meeting, the situation in the Iraqi-Syrian border was discussed extensively. The commander of the border guards, Lieutenant General Hamed Abdullah Ibrahim, gave a presentation on the status of the border and the measures taken to secure and reinforce the cameras.He noted that the Prime Minister stressed the importance of taking all measures to secure and secure the border and prevent the infiltration of terrorist and criminal gangs.

It also issued a set of directives and orders that contribute to securing the border and preventing penetration and reinforcement by surveillance and aerial surveillance and provide the needs of the leadership of border guards.

The statement added that a task force had been set up to assess the work of the military units and redeploy them to serve security stability and not to slacken the military sectors. The team will submit its report within one month.

They also discussed the assessment of the security situation in the province of Nineveh following the message of President Barham Saleh to the Council of Ministers of National Security regarding the province of Nineveh
