Today, Monday, Iraq signed three memoranda with France in the fields of education, transportation and agriculture.
The media office of the prime minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in the presence of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhmi and French Prime Minister Jean Castex, Iraq signed in the French capital Paris, three memoranda of intent in the fields of transportation, agriculture and education."
"The Minister of Agriculture and the French Minister of Agriculture and Food signed a memorandum of intent to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of strengthening the institutional capabilities of the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture, including the exchange of experiences in the field of agriculture, training, veterinary education, plant health and agricultural research," the statement said.
The memorandum also included encouraging agricultural and food partnerships in the fields of food and agricultural industries, agricultural machinery, and the development of land and water resources.
He added, "The Minister of Transport signed a memorandum of goodwill declaration with his French counterpart regarding the construction of the suspended train in the capital, Baghdad, while the memorandum included a declaration of intent, which was signed on behalf of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Hamid Al-Ghazi with the French Minister of Education. Strengthening cooperation in the field of education between the two parties, and expanding the admission of Iraqi students to French universities.
