Salih and Zaidan discuss resolving corruption files

 Today, Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, discussed with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, resolving the files of corruption and punishing those who violate public funds.

 The media office of the President of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, "During the meeting, they discussed the role of the Iraqi judiciary and its independence, in establishing justice, applying the law, resolving corruption files, and punishing those who transgression of public funds, in addition to" retribution for the perpetrators of various crimes. 

 The statement stressed "the importance of the upcoming elections and the necessity to provide all their legislative and logistical requirements, in accordance with the principle of integrity and transparency, and to prevent fraud and manipulation, stressing the need for real representation of citizens in choosing their representatives away from any influences or pressures."
