Ministry of Health and Environment confirmed that Iraq has not entered a new phase of the outbreak of Corona epidemic, while indicating that the student examinations were carried out smoothly, and it was an excellent and fruitful experience.
"Iraq is still in the first stage of the outbreak of the epidemic. There is an ability of health institutions to take the cases, since most of them are easy, require home isolation, and the rate of entry to centers of health quarantine is low,” said Director General of the Public Health Department, Riyadh Abdul-Amir Al-Halfi, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The increase in the number of infections came as a result of the citizens' lack of commitment, as we noticed many gatherings devoid of preventive measures, wearing masks, paws and social distancing," indicating that the number of Coronavirus infections is likely to increase in the coming days.
"It is important to adhere to preventive health measures, especially wearing a mask and social distancing, because these measures will reduce the number of injuries," he explained.
Earier, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Jassem Al-Falahi, confirmed that "there is a coordination between the joint committees formed by the Ministries of Health and Education to follow up the exams," indicating that "the examinations were carried out smoothly, and it was a distinct and fruitful experience aimed at the safety of the educational process on one hand, and the preservation of students' health on the other hand,"
