The spokesman for the leadership, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The possession of F-16 aircraft demonstrated Iraq's ability to possess a long and important arm of the air force."
He added that "F-16 planes have performed and are still performing their required work, with high accuracy and efficiency. The most skilled countries in the field of armament cannot own this type of aircraft, due to the accuracy of work in them, in addition to the capabilities and requirements that this type of weapon demands."
