Hakim to Zarif: Iraq is able to play a role in bringing regional views closer

The President of the National Wisdom Stream, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, assured the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Jawad Zarif, that Iraq is able to play a role in bringing regional views closer.

A statement of his office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday, that "Mr. Hakim, in the presence of a number of members of the leadership body of an Iraqi alliance, received his office this afternoon, Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian Foreign Minister and discussed with him the developments of the political situation in Iraq and the region and the relationship between the two countries and the two neighboring and friendly peoples ".

Mr. Ammar al-Hakim said, "Zarif's visit represents a deepening of relations between the two countries," noting that "the current government came after a political blockage and a series of demonstrations in several Iraqi cities."
