President Barham Salih met the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian the ways to develop cooperation relations between the two countries and expand the horizons of cooperation in the economic and cultural fields.
"The President of the Republic stressed the need for the international community to fully support the sovereignty of Iraq as the basis for a national project that preserves the stability of the country and achieves a regional order that provides peace, security and prosperity for the peoples of the region," according to a statement by the media office of the President o received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Iraq looks forward to supportive international stances to protect Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to stop the repeated Turkish military violations on Iraqi areas," said the President.
