Today, Monday, the Ministry of Agriculture decided to impose a ban on the movement of poultry and its movement between governorates.
Ministry spokesman Hamid Al-Nayef said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "after a diagnosis of bird flu was diagnosed in a poultry farm in Nineveh Governorate, the Ministry of Agriculture decided to impose a ban on the movement of poultry and its movement between governorates."
He added that "the affected poultry field is in a secluded area and there are no other poultry fields within this region," noting that "the possibility of transmitting the infection is very weak."
