The Ministry of Oil announced its plans to advance the oil distribution sector, confirming its efforts to monitor the transportation of petroleum products electronically.
The Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs Karim Al-Hattab said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The distribution sector is one of the important sectors that is concerned with providing all oil derivatives to all ministries, departments and public and private laboratories," noting that "the ministry concluded contracts to monitor the transportation of oil derivatives through The system (GPRS) with the aim of monitoring the movement of the tanks, for fear that they will deviate from their course or the product will be tampered with by adding solutions other than the oil derivative, and that this project will be launched during the next three months.
