The World Health Organization has denied the spread of a new type of corona virus emerging in Iraq.
The representative of the organization in Iraq, Adham Ismail, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The news about the spread of a new type of corona is incorrect, confirming that there is no examination of genes on the nature of the virus in all the world at the present time."Ismail stressed "the need to punish the promoters with the existence of a new type of corona," calling on "the media to support health measures."
The head of the Crisis Cell in Al-Muthanna province, Ahmed Menfi, had announced earlier that one death had been registered with the Corona virus.The governor said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "One of those infected with Corona virus, a young man suffering from kidney deficiency, died today," noting that "this is the second death that the province is witnessing due to infection with Corona virus."
