The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, head of the Parliamentary Crisis Cell, Hassan Al-Kaabi said that Iraq will send planes to China to transport 18 tons of medical aid.
Al-Kaabi revealed to the newspaper "Al-Sabah" about "the arrival of 18 tons of Chinese medical aid and equipment to Iraq", pointing out that "Iraq will send special planes from the airlines, the Iraqi army and the air force to bring that aid to Baghdad airport."
He pointed out that "there are contacts with a number of Iraqis in China who are the ones who have reported supplying more than 18 tons of different aid to the Iraqi Ministry of Health for the prevention of corona virus."
Al-Kaabi chaired a meeting yesterday with the Crisis Cell in Iraqi Kurdistan to discuss health and financial developments in the region in general and Erbil in particular under the current circumstance, stressing "the need to strengthen joint work between the federal and Baghdad governments in the face of the Corona epidemic."
