Al-Kaabi: the Constitution committed by selecting a special session

Al-Kaabi said in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "After submitting the request of the Prime Minister and signing more than 70 deputies, and according to the provisions of Article 58 of the Constitution, no one can refrain from setting a date for the special session," noting that "the Council and its presidency" They are obligated to hold the session. "

He pointed out that "whoever refrains from setting the date of the session will be subject to the legal issue," stressing that "the constitution and law cannot be adapted to partisan and political whims."

The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Kaabi, had confirmed earlier, that Parliament is obligated to hold an extraordinary session next Monday, to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.

 Al-Kaabi pointed out that "after the people said their word, we would either be with him, or with parties and quotas."

According to sources speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The House of Representatives will hold an extraordinary session next Monday after sending a letter from Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi with a request to hold the session, as well as at the request of the members of the House of Representatives, including up to 76 signatures and more, and according to the provisions of the article 58 of the constitution, the extraordinary session must be held to vote on the ministerial curriculum and the government booth of Commissioner Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.

Earlier, Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi called on the Presidency and members to hold an extraordinary session in order to vote on granting confidence to the government next Monday.
