The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan announced the election of Lahore Sheikh Genki and Pavel Talabani as co-presidents of the union with 91 votes.

The website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan stated that a high-level delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by Lahore Sheikh Genki, the joint head of the National Union, will head to the capital of Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.

He added that the delegation will discuss the formation of the federal government with the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi. And the site indicated that this visit is the first of its kind for the Sheikh Genki, after choosing, with Pavel Talabani, co-presidents of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, today, Tuesday, during the meeting of the Federation's leadership council.
