Foreign Minister Muhammad Ali al-Hakim and his German counterpart Haikou Maas discussed number of files on the sidelines of the Munich International Security Conference 56th.
Al-Hakim appreciated Germany’s supportive stances towards Iraq in facing Daesh terrorist groups through its contribution to military advisers and the provision of humanitarian and financial support, included a statement by the ministry to Iraqi News Agency INA.
The two touched on developments in terms of implementing the agreement signed between the Ministry of Electricity and the German company Siemens, and praising the projects that have been implemented so far.
Al-Hakim called on the German side to support lifting the ban on Iraqi Airways, and contribute to train Iraqi staff and build their capabilities.
They also discussed mechanisms for resuming the work of the Iraqi-German Joint Committee.
