The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, affirmed on Monday his refusal to target diplomatic missions and embassies operating in Iraq.
The media office of the head of the State of Law Coalition said in a statement that the Iraqi News Agency received that "Al-Maliki discussed during his reception today, Australian Ambassador Joan Lundes and New Zealand Ambassador Tredene Dobson in Baghdad, the developments of political and security conditions in Iraq and the region."
Al-Maliki stressed "the importance of strengthening relations with all countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, valuing the positions of Australia and New Zealand in support of Iraq."
