PM: All demands are achievable through joint cooperation

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi stressed the work to reform the country to meet the requirements of comprehensive development and not only respond to legitimate demands.

His information office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that this came during the Prime Minister's reception a large gathering of tribal elders and dignitaries from the central and southern governorates, to deliberate on the situation in the country and the reform measures and solutions and ways to enhance security and stability and meet the legitimate demands of the demonstrators and the general public.

He added that the tribal sheikhs presented the reality of the provinces in terms of security, service and living, and many views, demands and proposals related to fighting corruption and the operation of stalled laboratories and provide employment opportunities and support ration card and compensation, in addition to calling for constitutional amendments and the imposition of the rule of law and the prestige of the state to preserve the resources of the state and public and private property Ports and border ports.

Abdul-Mahdi also stressed that all demands are feasible in cooperation and take joint responsibility for the interest of Iraq, noting that the tribes were in the first row in all covenants and extended the battlefields against Daesh with brave men, which is really a reference army and the people and stood with our forces until victory.

He pointed out that the government in its first year faced and exceeded many problems, challenges and accumulations, and we are determined to serve our country and our people and fight poverty and corruption and achieve the desired reform.
