Over 141 displaced families, consisting of 668 women, men and children, have left the camp, while other batches of IDPs continue to their homes in the coming days after the completion of the basic procedures in cooperation with the Anbar Operations Command and al-Jazira and Badia Operations Command, and buses and trucks have been provided to transport them and their property, with the provision of money for each family as a gift to arrange their living on the move.
This came under the auspices of the Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, and within the efforts to return the displaced to their homes; a group of families in Ameriyat al-Fallujah IDP camp in Anbar province left on Saturday.
Spokesman and Advisor to the Parliament Speaker Shakir Hamed said, "The harvest of efforts to accelerate the return of IDPs by the Parliament Speaker has resulted in the return of the first batch from the camp of Ameriyat al-Fallujah to their homes in the city of Qaim"
Earlier this month, the Speaker visited the camp of Ameriyat al-Fallujah, met with displaced people to find out their problems, and promised to speed up security checks for their return to their areas of residence.
