Salih arrives to New York

The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, arrived in New York City on Saturday at the head of a delegation comprising the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Planning and other officials to attend the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly at its seventy-fourth session.

The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency said that Salih is scheduled to hold on the sidelines of the United Nations meetings, a number of bilateral meetings, most notably the meeting with US President Donald Trump.

She added that the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly comes at a time when the region is witnessing serious developments, and Iraq is making great efforts to ease the tension between the regional and international parties.
