President Barham Salih on Wednesday stressed the support and protection of Iraqi children and the development of educational curricula. President Salıh received the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Hamida Lasiku, accompanied by a group of Iraqi children who are supported by the organization, the president's office said in a statement received by the official Iraqi News Agency.
The celebration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child calls for further action to protect children throughout the world in the context of sustainable development to create a better future, the president said.
