Director of the Environmental Awareness Department at the Ministry of Health and Environment, Duraid Abdul Hussein, confirmed today on Monday, that the campaign is continuing to spread the culture of using the bags in the bakeries across the country until all its objectives are achieved.
The campaign carried out by the Environmental Awareness Department at the Ministry of Health and Environment with the support of UNICEF and with the participation of community police and civil society organizations is continuing in all provinces," Abdul Hussein told The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The aim is to spread the culture of using paper bags instead of nylon, because nylon bags have serious effects on the health of citizens in particular and on the environment in general.
He added that the implementation of the campaign, which was launched in mid-July, guaranteed the distribution of thousands of paper bags free of charge to the owners of the bakeries in Baghdad and the provinces, in addition to posters, posters and steaks carrying awareness and environmental instructions to urge citizens to use the bags Paper instead of nylon bags accompanied by mobile radios has an impact on the transmission of instructions as well as the establishment of workshops and seminars with the owners of the bakeries and the owners of printing presses in order to identify the things needed by the owners of furnaces in the success of the campaign.
