In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency, al-Hassani said that the design capacity of the existing laying hens projects reached 12 million laying hens after it was before the ban on importing up to 4 million laying hens and now has reached 8 million laying hens.
The statement added that "the design capacity of meat projects amounted to more than 55 million chickens before the ban on import and constitute 25 percent, reaching 185 thousand tons per year, or after the ban on imports reached more than 35 percent, or about 110 thousand tons annually.
