Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim called for opening new Prospects for cooperation with Sweden.
A statement by the Foreign Ministry to Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim received Swedish Ambassador Pontus Melander on the occasion of the end of his duties in Baghdad, and reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Stockholm and stressed the importance of increasing Cooperation in all fields.
Al-Hakim praised the ambassador's efforts in boosting bilateral relations, calling for opening new cooperation prospects between the two countries, working and coordinating all that would provide security and stability for the whole region and the world.
For his part, Sweden's ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for Iraq and work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
