PM invites al-Azhar Sheikh to visit Iraq

    PM Adel Abdul Mahdi invited al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayib.

    The invitation was handed by the PM Envoy to Egypt Abdul Kareem Hashim during a meeting between the two in addition to the attendance of the Iraqi Ambassador to Egypt and the representative in the Arab League Ahmed Naif al-Dulaimi.

    The meeting presented the positive developments between Iraq and Egypt as well as the role of al-Azhar in the Arab and Islamic world.

    Al-Azhar Sheikh welcomed the invitation and promised to make a visit soon.
