    Ministry of Planning announced on Monday, the presence of more than 36 000 contractors and companies in Iraq, classified by the ministry and distributed between the ratings from the first to the tenth.

    In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry's official spokesman, Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi, said that "the classification department of the contractors in the legal department at the Ministry of Planning is to classify the companies and contractors according to the rules and standards adopted according to legal mechanisms that determine the level of degree obtained by the company or the contractor.

    Noting that "22 000 and 515 companies were classified before 2009, while the classification of 14 000 and 411 companies and contractors for the period from 2009 until 2018.

    Al-Hindawi said that "the number of companies rated excellent grade 28 companies, while the number of companies of the first class 4 000 and 690 companies, and registered companies ranked fifth in the largest number after the number of 9 000 and 863 companies and contractors, The seventh grade is the lowest among the degrees, as they amounted to 336 companies and contractors. "

    He added that "the ministry listed 426 Iraqi companies and contractors on the black list, pointing to the lack of commitment of those companies to contracts with the beneficiaries," noting that "listing on the black list comes at the request of the contracting parties with the company or the contractor and be accompanied by documents and documentary evidence that confirms The company or the contractor did not fulfill its contractual obligations, adding that against this, 305 companies were removed from the blacklist after the legal period of listing expired.
