Ministry of Justice: Release of 492 inmates in March

The Ministry of Justice announced on Wednesday the release of 492 inmates during the month of March.
A statement of the ministry (Ina received a copy of) said: “the total number of inmates released from the Ministry prisons last month was 492 in Baghdad and other governorates; including- 42 by the general amnesty, 63 women, and 429 men, released after their sentences expired”.
Adding: “the number of released inmates by general amnesty law was 8434; for the period from November 2016 till the end of March 2019”.
