The coming days will witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iraq and Russia in the fields of culture, tourism, archeology, arts and museums, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani said.
The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Abdul-Amir Al-Hamdani, met today with the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad Maxime Maximov, the Russian Cultural Counselor and the Russian Academy of Sciences Envoy. During the meeting, they discussed a number of cultural agreements to be signed with the Iraqi News Agency Russian .
According to the statement, reviewed the aspects of cooperation between the Ministries of Culture of Iraq and Russia, and the agreement on a number of items to be carried out by the Russian side,
including: the Russian Institute of some field work and excavations in the city of Dhi Qar site (Dujail), which dates back to the old Babylonian era, Other excavations in the tulle (item) on the Iraqi-Iranian border of Maysan province, which dates back to the Stone Age.
He added that "the two sides agreed to record a documentary about the marshes in Iraq and the establishment of a hall for the children's museum in Nasiriyah to prepare it to be suitable for children, and documenting the artifacts in the Iraqi Museum and the work of courses for the maintenance of artifacts and paintings.
