
The Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources announced on Tuesday that Iraq and Turkey have discussed a mechanism for the sharing of Tigris and Euphrates waters.
In its announcement, which INA received, the Ministry said that ‘the Minister of Water resources, Jamal al-Adili, has discussed with the Turkish Ambassador Fatih Yeldiz a mechanism according to which a joint working team is to be formed to solve the problem of Tigris and Euphrates rivers water sharing.’
