President Salih asserts Iraq-Kuwait deep historical relations

INA - BAGHDAD

President Barham Salih received the head of Kuwait Nation Council Marzouq al-Ghanim in Baghdad.

Salih confirmed the deep historical relations between Iraq and Kuwait as he pointed out the importance of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

He also praised Kuwait’s support to Iraq especially in the case of IDPs and providing help to them.

During the meeting, both have asserted the importance to enhance the relations and mutual coordination in different fields.

On his part, al-Ghanim delivered his regards to Kuwait Amir to Iraq and the President.

He also expressed his country’s keenness to develop the relations with Iraq and to show support as always.

Al-Ghanim also praised the victories achieved against Daesh terrorist groups.
