Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received an invitation today, Wednesday, to attend a conference to be organized by the Arab World Institute in Paris, during the current year.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the President of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Jack Lang, and his accompanying delegation, and - during the meeting - the relations between Iraqi cultural institutions and the institute were reviewed; to enhance the dialogue of cultures and civilizations between the Iraqi and French peoples."
He added that "the meeting witnessed an agreement to form a joint committee, which will begin its work next week, whose mission is to organize Iraqi cultural activities under the supervision of the Arab World Institute in Paris; with the aim of enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in cultural fields."
Jack Lang praised - according to the statement - "the Prime Minister's clear support for the Arab World Institute and its activities, and extended an invitation to al-Sudani to attend a conference to be organized by the institute during the current year in the capital, Paris."
