Liverpool beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday evening, in the twenty-fourth round of the English Premier League, to maintain their comfortable lead over their closest pursuers.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored the match's two goals in the 30th minute from a penalty kick and in the 75th minute.

With this result, Liverpool's tally rose to 56 points, 9 points ahead of its closest pursuers, while Bournemouth's tally froze at 40 points in seventh place.

By scoring two goals, Salah reached goal number 21 at the top of the English Premier League scorers, which means that he exceeded 20 goals in the season, for the fifth time in his history in the Premier League.

Salah became one of only 5 players who were able to score 20 goals in the season, for five seasons or more.

Salah also reached his 178th goal in the Premier League, climbing to sixth place in the league's historical scorers list, surpassing Englishman Frank Lampard.
