PM: Security cooperation will be on a clear path within the framework of the vision of the Iraqi-British agreement

    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, that security cooperation and coordination between the two countries will be on a clear path within the framework of the vision of the Iraqi-British agreement.

    The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met at his residence in the capital, London, with British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper."

    He added that "during the meeting, the mechanisms of joint cooperation in the security fields, the exchange of expertise, and support for the capabilities of the security forces in the field of combating organized crime, and intelligence and information cooperation were discussed, in light of what was agreed upon during Yvette Cooper's visit to Baghdad last year."

    Al-Sudani indicated - according to the statement - that "security cooperation and coordination between the two countries will be on a clear path within the framework of the vision of the Iraqi-British agreement, and in a way that contributes to confronting various important challenges for both sides."
