President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed, today, Friday, the necessity of adopting initiatives and plans that contribute to raising the level of services.
The media office of the Presidency of the Republic stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic met with the Governor of Wasit and members of the House of Representatives for the province, and a number of members of the local government, within the framework of the visit he is making to the province."
"During the meeting, the general scene in the province was reviewed, and coordination mechanisms between the federal government and the legislative authority were discussed to support vital projects there, as the representatives reviewed a number of challenges facing their work, which were diagnosed during the past stage, and ways to overcome them in a way that aims to enhance their legislative and oversight role and improve the level of services and economic opportunities in the province."
The President of the Republic pointed to "the importance of the role of the people's representatives in conveying the needs of citizens to the relevant authorities, and working to find appropriate solutions for them, calling for "adopting realistic initiatives and plans that contribute to raising the level of services."
