The Maysan Police Command announced today the rescue of a girl from Najaf who had been kidnapped for over two years.
Major General Luftah Fakher Al-Muhammadi stated that, based on precise information and investigations from the Najaf Investigative Office, security forces were directed to a location in Al-Maimouna district where the abductee was believed to be. Following judicial approvals, a joint operation was conducted, successfully freeing her without incident.
He also added that the primary suspect in the kidnapping was not found at the location. His name has been circulated to all checkpoints for apprehension. The rescued girl has been referred to a secure detention center to complete all the legal procedures.
