Minister of Migration and Displacement Evan Faeq Jabro announced today, Thursday, the return of 181 displaced persons from the Sheikhan camp in Dohuk to their original areas in Sinjar.
The ministry quoted Jabro in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) as saying: "In continuation of the implementation of the government program, 181 displaced persons from the (Shekhan) camp in Dohuk Governorate in the Kurdistan Region have returned to their original areas of residence in Sinjar District in Nineveh Governorate, in cooperation with the regional authorities, local governments and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Nineveh."
The minister directed - according to the statement - "to include the returnees in financial grants and relief aid to support stability in the areas of return."
