JOC: killing Wali of Iraq carried out under the supervision of the Commander-in-Chief

    The Joint Operations Command announced today, Tuesday, that the operation to kill the so-called (Wali of Iraq) for ISIS was carried out with the follow-up of the Commander-in-Chief.

    The command said in a statement the Iraqi News Agency (INA) received: "When the courage and determination of the men of Iraq are combined, victory is their title. The fields have known them and tested them with heroism, so they were worthy of crushing anyone who dared to tamper with the security of civilized Iraq. After relying on God and thanks to the directives and continuous follow-up of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and with a distinguished heroic qualitative operation by the brave men of the Counter-Terrorism Service and the National Security Detachments, and with the precise technical follow-up that lasted for several months to implement the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to pursue the remaining leaders and elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs, and with the supervision, planning and technical intelligence follow-up of the Joint Operations Command, the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service and the National Security Detachments were able to reach one of the important headquarters of ISIS leaders in the geographically complex Hamrin Mountains."

    Joint Operations Command added, "This came with technical support and exchange of accurate intelligence information by the International Coalition Forces and under the supervision and field presence of the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service and a number of security leaders and directors in the National Security Service and coordination and follow-up by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and with the arrival of our brave men carried out at dawn today, (9) terrorists were killed, including the so-called criminal governor of Iraq called (Jassim Al Mazrouei Abu Abdul Qader) and other leaders from the front line of the terrorist ISIS gangs. Their names and details will be announced later after conducting a thorough examination (DNA)."

    The Command continued, "Large quantities of weapons, ammunition and equipment were also seized in (8) hideouts that were used by these defeated gangs, as the force was able to eradicate them, and a large workshop for booby-trapping and manufacturing explosive devices was also destroyed," noting that "the operation is still ongoing."

    The Command pointed out that "just retribution is ongoing and ongoing against the remnants of the failed ISIS detachments and they will not exist on the pure land of Iraq," stressing that "this qualitative operation will comfort the eyes of the mothers of our righteous martyrs and that their blood that watered the soil of this country will not be in vain."

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, announced today, Tuesday, the killing of the so-called (Wali of Iraq) in ISIS in a qualitative operation.
