The Zionist attacks are a blatant violation of international law and human rights, Prime Minister’s advisor Hashem al-Karawi emphasized Monday the significance of organizing Arab efforts to address these issues.

The barbaric attacks against Palestine and Lebanon by the Zionist entity are categorically rejected by the Iraqi government, according to Al-Karawi, who told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "these actions represent a flagrant violation of human rights and a violation of international laws, threaten security and stability in the region and undermine peace efforts."

"The government calls on the European Union countries to take urgent and effective steps to save the region from a dangerous slide," he said, noting that "the international community must shoulder its responsibilities in protecting civilians and preventing escalation."

Al-Karawi stressed "the importance of mobilizing Arab efforts to confront these challenges, by calling on Iraq to convene a comprehensive Arab conference that would be a platform to put all parties in front of reality and urge them to take positions rejecting the continuous attacks on Arab countries."

He emphasized that "the government is committed to continuous work to support the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, as it seeks to provide humanitarian food, medical, and logistical assistance in an unprecedented manner and facilitate the access of campaigns organized by religious and community bodies to the affected areas."

"Iraq calls on all Arab countries and the international community to join efforts to end the occupation and provide the necessary protection for civilians in Palestine and Lebanon," he continued, adding that "Iraq will remain at the forefront of countries defending the rights of the Arab peoples, and will continue to work to strengthen Arab solidarity in the face of aggression."
