Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani confirmed today, Sunday, the opening of all doors for Iraqi-French relations, while inviting French cultural and tourism activities to come to Iraq.
Al-Badrani said in his speech during a press conference, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Iraqi-French relations are very old relations at all levels, and the French ambassador visited us more than once and we discussed a lot and he invited us to hold activities in Paris," directing "the invitation to French cultural and tourism activities to come to Iraq after Baghdad and the rest of the governorates became 100% safe and terrorism was completely eliminated and Baghdad, the house of peace, returned to enjoy freedom and peace once again."
Al-Badrani added, "We welcome the French ambassador and open all doors for Iraqi-French relations," noting that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani had previously visited Paris and signed a number of agreements."
For his part, the French Ambassador to Baghdad, Patrick Durel, confirmed during the conference that "this visit is not the first and we will continue to work to strengthen French-Iraqi relations by linking them in the field of culture, tourism and antiquities."
He continued "We discussed some important projects in Iraq and France," noting that "culture is a bridge between the Iraqi and French peoples."
