Ministry of Transport announces the opening of a new direct air route between Baghdad and Sharjah

    The Ministry of Transport announced, today, Sunday, the opening of a new direct air route between Baghdad and Sharjah.
     
    A statement by the Ministry of Transport received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "in line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, the Iraqi Airways Administration has set the date for the opening of a new direct line between Baghdad and Sharjah, starting from October 17, with four flights per week to enhance communication between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates and provide direct flights for travelers between the two countries."
     
    "The opening of the new (Baghdad-Sharjah) line comes within the operational plan of Iraqi Airways aimed at developing the civil aviation sector and expanding the international flight network for the Green Bird in line with government directives, due to the importance of this in strengthening trade and tourism relations between Iraq and the countries of the region and the world and providing more travel options for travelers."
