The Security Media Cell confirmed today, Friday, that diplomatic missions and facilities enjoy good security protection, while indicating that providing protection for missions will work to develop international interests and relations with high capabilities.
The head of the Security Media Cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Security Media Cell, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior (Headquarters Protection Directorate), is responsible for protecting diplomatic missions and facilities, which enjoy good security protection by providing special security forces to protect the headquarters and missions."
Al-Khafaji added that "the security and intelligence agencies work day and night by combating and pursuing terrorists everywhere, in addition to the recent strikes and successes achieved by the security forces against terrorists as well as pursuing anyone who targets diplomatic headquarters and missions."
Al-Khafaji stressed that "the security forces are continuing and committed to protecting all international headquarters and missions by providing protection as well as providing all security measures that enable the missions to perform their work properly," indicating that "Iraq has interests with these countries, and by providing protection for them, interests and relations are also developed with high capabilities and capacities."
