Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed on Wednesday, that the Palestinian issue is the only issue on the table of the meetings of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers.
Hussein told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The meetings of the Ministerial Council of the 163rd session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers discussed the most prominent, important and only issue, which is the Palestinian issue."
He explained, "There is constant support at the Arab, regional and international levels and from the Iraqi government and people for the Palestinian cause," he added, "A meeting was held with the UNRWA agency for Palestinian relief," stressing "the existence of significant financial support from the Iraqi side to the agency, as it works to help the Palestinian people, especially the people of Gaza."
Hussein pointed out that "Iraq took the initiative and opened the doors for others to support UNRWA."
Regarding holding the next Arab Summit in Baghdad, Hussein stated that "Iraq is in contact with the Arab League to prepare for the Arab Summit," adding: "We look forward to this summit that will be held in May of next year in Baghdad."
