The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, confirmed today, Sunday, that Al-Arbaeen Visit Plan for the Current Year is the best.
Al-Muhammadawi said, during a press conference on the occasion of the end of the ceremonies commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the security sectors began preparations early for the visit and more than two months ago."
He explained that "the joint operations began by controlling the borders and working at the ports, in addition to securing thousands of kilometers of roads that millions of people marched on to reach the holy city of Karbala," noting that "the preemptive operations carried out by the sectors of all kinds yielded good results and thwarted many terrorist operations and intentions."
He added, "There is a directive from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to open a controlling headquarters in the Joint Operations Command, which contributed to facilitating and coordinating security and service efforts and addressing all dilemmas."
Al-Muhammadawi stressed that "the plan for Al-Arbaeen visit this year is the best at all levels, whether security or service-related," attributing the reasons to "the great understanding and mutual cooperation between the security sectors and the visitors, in addition to linking the security and service plans with patience, perseverance, and maneuvering in the sectors."
Al-Muhammadawi expressed his "thanks to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for his absolute confidence in the security sectors and flexibility in providing advice and contributing quickly to resolving problems," praising "the various security sectors of all kinds, and all religious and governmental institutions that contributed to this visit."
He noted that "under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the sectors will present a vision to diagnose all the negatives in order to overcome them starting today until the next visit," indicating that "the security plan is still in place until the departure of the last visitor."
