FIIA Arrests an ISIS Terrorist in Anbar

The Agency of Intelligence and Federal investigation –FIIA announced on Tuesday the arrest of an ISIS terrorist in Anbar Province.
 
According to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Intelligence Agency's units in Anbar carried out a precise and swift operation based on accurate intelligence information and field surveillance, resulting in the capture of a terrorist affiliated with ISIS. The individual was serving as an informant for the terrorist group within the province.
 
The statement added that, during interrogation, the detainee openly confessed to his affiliation with the terrorist groups. His statements were legally recorded, and he has been referred to the relevant authorities for appropriate legal action.
 
In a separate operation conducted by the Organized Crime Prevention units in Baghdad/Rusafa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, a warehouse containing a large quantity of human pharmaceuticals of unknown origin was discovered. The items were documented in an official seizure report, and an individual found inside the warehouse was arrested.
 
The statement clarified that the suspect, along with the confiscated materials were handed over to the concerned authorities to receive the just punishment.
