The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced on Thursday the capture of three drug dealers in Basra and Dhi Qar provinces.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), CTS declared: "CTS executed a precision operation, resulting in the capture of two drug dealers in the city center of Basra province."
The statement added, "Our forces carried out another mission in Dhi Qar province, successfully apprehending a drug dealer," noting that "our personnel remain steadfast in conducting precision operations targeting terrorism and drug trafficking with increasing intensity across the nation."
